How to Force RSS Scrapers Build you Up Link Popularity

Your blog has RSS Feeds in place for a reason:
to express your visitors with pertinent,
up-to-date content. But there’s a loophole…

RSS Scrapers
Sneaky bots scout your blog to plunder your
content without giving credit back to the source.

The Solution
There’s a wordpress plugin named “RSS Footer”.
It allows the Webmaster to slide a link of choice
right into the RSS feed. Next time your feed is
parsed by a bot, your link will go live right
with the feed along with the posts.

That’s merely a passive aggressive
tactic to build link popularity.

Now chances are that some scrapers purposively parse
text siphoned from a feed so you don’t get any
credit in link popularity but nevertheless
you still get acknowledged as the original RSS source.

You also can brand your name and URL with this plugin.
